Hi, my name is Raluca, and Erasmus ruined my perception of reality.

I went on Erasmus twice (to Slovenia and Spain) and somehow, what was supposed to be a semester abroad became one of the best experiences of my life.

I met people from all over the world. I discovered new cultures, tried things I had never tried before, traveled to places I had never imagined visiting, said yes to things that would normally scare me, and slowly stepped outside the comfort zone I had been living in.

Most importantly, I discovered a version of myself I didn't even know existed.

A more adventurous version.
A more open version.
A version that wasn't afraid to say yes to the unknown.

And then Erasmus ended.

I came home with hundreds of stories, countless unforgettable moments, and thousands of photos sitting in my phone.

But that's when I realized something:

I had so many memories, but almost nothing I could actually hold in my hands.

My Erasmus experience existed mostly in my camera roll.

And I didn't want it to stay there.

I wanted something I could look at years from now and instantly be taken back to that time: to the people I met, the places I discovered, the late nights, the spontaneous trips, the feeling of being young and somewhere completely new.

That's how Exchange Memories was created.
